The practice was formed in 1998 by the partners Stuart Marsh FCCA and Phil Bessant FCMA. Both left successful practices to combine their respective qualifications and skills.
 Both partners felt that before establishing themselves in the marketplace, they needed to ensure that the internal systems, procedures and well- trained staff were in place, to ensure that a high-quality service could be provided and maintained through growth.
Marsh Bessant is a fairly unique firm of accountants in that the Partners, Stuart Marsh FCCA and Phil Bessant FCMA, are fellow members of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants respectively. This ensures that our clients have at their disposal the resources of both of these acclaimed professional bodies.
The practice itself is registered as auditors and regulated for a range of investment business activities by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. We are also a member of Accountax which is a network of accountants operating throughout the UK.
